Gewehr 43

The Gewehr 43, also known as Karabiner 43, is an automatic rifle developed by Nazi Germany during the Second World War. It was part of a partly successful attempt by the Germans to produce their own self-loading rifles for their army.

The Gewehr 43 is the successor of Gewehr 41, the product of their first attempt for that specific aim. It was an utter failure. The gun was just too complex to operate, too unreliable in combat, and too heavy to carry. It was also expensive to produce.

Today, the G43 is one of the most sought rifles by collectors. Because there aren’t a lot of them out there, the rifles are priceless. Fortunately, the treasured rifle has found its way to Canada. So, for rifle enthusiasts out there, buy one while you still can!
