FN F S2000

In the late 1980s and 1990s, the famous Belgian weapons maker FN Herstal, began developing the rifle of the 21st century. This gave birth to the FN 2000. First publicly displayed in 2001 at the IDEX defense exhibition held in Abu Dhabi, it caught the attention of the rifle-lovers around the world, and spun the fear of the enemies of the free world.

The intimidating appearance immediately made it a hit among many nations and game hunters. What makes it even more sinister-looking is the fact that it can accommodate a grenade launcher! Several countries still buy the rifle to arm their respective armies.

The F S2000 is the civilian variant of the rifle. It has a longer barrel and is semi-automatic, but still contains the lethality and the ambidexterity of the military version. And of course, it cannot be fitted with the grenade launcher (probably a good idea since Canada strictly prohibits its use!) It became available to the public last 2006. The F S2000 is used also for law enforcement operations by police and special police units.
